In 1937 Graf produced their first figure skating boots and have since produce high quality figure skates as well as hockey skates for skaters all over the world. Olympic Champions like Michelle Kwan, Iliya Kulik, Javier Fernandez, Patrick Chan, Maxim Trankov, Daiske Takahashi and Evgeni Plushenko have worn Graf Skates. Graf has been very popular in Europe and Russia for decades.
Graf has a rounded toe box. Great for toes that are similar in length and for feet with medium arches. Graf has beginner skates in the larger ladies sizes (equivalent size 10.5 & 11 US sizing) unlike other brands of skates. Their skates are also still made in a more traditional style with more traditional material for those who do not like the plastic, PVC and the synthetic materials with which most skate manufacturers currently produce skating boots. Most Graf boots are also heat moldable and will allow more stretch. However, if you don't mind the wait, Graf also has boots that can be made in the more narrow widths.
The new Graf Ultralight outsole is the result of years of experience in production of skates and close cooperation with figure skating experts. It offers all the advantages of a classic Graf outsole with 26% loss of weight. The SRPP surface, which is also used on hockey skates, is extremely lightweight and offers a flat surface for easy blade mounting.
